 Cold Rolling is a process by which the Sheet Metal or Strip Stock is introduced between Rollers, and then compressed and squeezed. The amount of strain introduced determines the hardness and other material properties of the finished product.
Cold Rolling occurs with the metal is treated below its re-crystallization temperature, which increases the strength (via Strain Hardening) by up to 20%, and enables tighter tolerances. The process also renders dimensional accuracy and surface finish to products, making them optimal for a vast variety of applications.
